The National Tariff Commission (NTC) has issued its Notice of Final Determination in the antidumping investigation concerning imports of Dextrose Monohydrate originating in and/or exported from China on October 04, 2026.
Following its investigation, the NTC determined that Dextrose Monohydrate was exported to Pakistan at dumped prices, causing material injury to the domestic industry.
The Commission identified material injury, inter alia, on account of:
• Increase in the volume of dumped imports
• Price undercutting
• Price suppression
• Decline in sales and market share
• Decline in production and capacity utilization
• Decline in profits and profitability
• Adverse effects on inventories
Accordingly, the NTC has imposed a definitive anti-dumping duty of 10.79% on imports of Dextrose Monohydrate originating in and/or exported from China for a period of five (05) years, effective from July 15, 2026.
We are honored to have represented the domestic industry (Rafhan Maize Products Co. Ltd. and Matco Foods Limited) throughout this investigation, from preparing and filing the anti-dumping application to actively pursuing the case before the Commission. This determination underscores the importance of effective trade-remedy measures in addressing unfair trade practices and safeguarding the interests of Pakistan’s domestic industry.
